Reaffrim my mortgage as part of bankruptcy case

You can reaffirm mortgages, it’s just more of rarity. Some servicers won’t do it on senior paper, it’s not worth their time, not even if you ask. More commonly, they’ll do it if asked and some will ask on their own. Unless there is a real benefit to doing so like a reduction in interest rate, I won’t sign them. In one recent case, my clients wanted to reaffirm a small loan on some vacant land they owned out of state. The court scheduled it for a hearing and denied the motion because reaffirmation agreements on land are not required.
